Routine for scalp concerns

Q for Skin's concept for a dry scalp with build-up and/or flakes.

Q for Skin

For healthy hair and a balanced scalp

Together with hairdressers, Q for Skin has developed a well-researched and effective scalp concept. It leads to fantastic results – but they don't happen by themselves.

We recommend following the routine for 14 days to start with.

How often you then need to maintain the results with Quick Relief Shampoo/Intensive Nourishing Serum varies from person to person, for example when the weather changes or during periods of stress.

Routine: Dry scalp & dandruff

Follow the routine for 14 days, then as needed.

  • Step 1

    In the evening

For dryness/dry flakes, we recommend taking a little serum (either Intensive Nourishing Serum or fragrance-free Blackcurrant Oil) in your palm in the evening, dipping your fingertips into the serum/oil and massaging it into the whole scalp or the problem area. Leave the oil/serum on overnight.

    Intensive Nourishing Serum

  • Step 2

    In the morning

Restore the microflora by washing your hair with Quick Relief Shampoo. Wet your hair and massage the shampoo into your hair and scalp, then rinse. Ideally, shampoo twice. The first wash removes dirt, flakes etc., and the second deep-cleanses the hair and restores balance to the scalp. If needed, apply Q Conditioner to the ends. You can also apply a little Intensive Nourishing Serum to the ends if your hair is dry and frizzy.

Routine: Build-up

Follow the routine for 14 days, then as needed.

  • Step 1

    In the evening

For build-up, we recommend taking a little serum (either Intensive Nourishing Serum or fragrance-free Blackcurrant Oil) in your palm in the evening, dipping your fingertips into the serum/oil and massaging it into the whole scalp or the problem area. Leave the oil/serum on overnight.

  • Step 2

    In the morning

Gently brush your scalp with a soft natural-bristle brush. Use long, massaging strokes, pressing the brush against the scalp. Use the full width of the brush and, ideally, divide your hair into small sections so that you can reach the whole scalp. Brushing is important to remove dry flakes, dead skin cells and build-up, and to stimulate circulation.

  • Step 3

    After brushing

Wet your hair and massage Quick Relief Shampoo into your hair and scalp, then rinse.
